Too Far!

                                              It’s Gone Too Far!
Too see a shrink
Get an education and play golf
Because we all are affected
There are no excuses for ignorance anymore
You are either born a peasant or a creature of exclusivity and privilege
We humans can pray or chant like Monks in hope of divine intervention
Before we kill each other for food and call it Terrorism!
(I don’t think blowing holes in the Moon will help us see the light)

The pretentiousness of the Game is apparent
Those that believe it is not a game of Monopoly but real life
Don’t even recognize their illness
The mental aberrations of conformity
Have twisted their perception of decency
To where now their lives are totally regulated
And the poor are no ones responsibility
Left to be dealt with by the cemented hands of Judges, Lawyers and Teachers
Who have become the policeman of the mental institution we call Society.

Morally justified to lie to our children
Pretending to be sane not letting on that we are droning beasts
Drunk with despair and uncertainty afraid of everything
Riding in our cars through neighborhoods of ethnic uniformity
Until we get to our guarded gate and wade through our existence, alienated
Hooked on services that provide diversion from the reality of insecurity.
Oh, yes, we’re at war with ourselves…
The poor want what the rich have, but this cannot be afforded by wage
So open up Healing clinics, make them all free
And maybe we all can have faith in one Garden
That we all can share the maintenance of
Because there is no way, a wall, a gate or a hired gun
Can protect us from ourselves anymore
Nor will anything make a difference until we produce a peace within our minds
And behave as if we are all connected
Not contending to pretend to be anything
But a part of an evolved nature to be cared for equally
Darkness becomes light
After every night
So far as I can see…
